With a tropical twist, this recipe is perfect for fish taco night, spooning over some salmon or chicken, or dipping with chips. Plus, it's easy to make and only takes 10 minutes!

Avocado Mango Salsa Recipe Details

This salsa is a nutrient-dense choice to add to a meal or snack on with some tortilla chips.

I added this salsa to some blackened salmon tacos and it's an IDEAL pairing.

To make this salsa, you'll need a few simple ingredients. You'll start by peeling and dicing one mango and one avocado. Then, add them to a large bowl along with diced jalapeño, red onion, and roughly chopped cilantro. To add some zing, squeeze the juice of half a lime and add the zest. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Taste the salsa and add additional lime juice/zest as desired.

This recipe is perfect for those who love a little bit of heat, but you can adjust the spiciness to your liking by using less jalapeño. If you want to make this salsa ahead of time, simply cover and refrigerate until you're ready to serve.

Salsa Ingredients

  • 1 Mango - I used a ripe mango. Ripe mangos are much sweeter and contrasts well with the other ingredients.
  • 1 Avocado - I used a medium-sized ripe avocado.
  • 1 jalapeño - adjust based on spice preference. I left most of the seeds in because I like a lot of spice, but remove the seeds if you want a more mild salsa
  • 1/4 cup Red Onion - soak the red onions in water for 10 minutes f you want a milder and sweeter taste.
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro 
  • 1/2 Lime juice and zest - adjust to taste because the size of your lime can vary
  • Salt & Pepper 

Salsa Instructions

Simply add all ingredients to a bowl and combine. That's it! Taste and adjust to your liking to get the perfect blend of sweet, creamy, herbaceous, spice, salt, and citrus.

Ingredients 

  • 1 Mango, peeled and diced
  • 1 Avocado, diced
  • 1 Jalapeno , diced; use less based on spice preference
  • 1/4 cup Red Onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 Lime, juice and zest; use more to taste
  • Kosher Salt & Black Pepper, to taste
