To make this sauce, you'll just need a few simple ingredients that you may already have in your fridge/pantry.
- Plain Greek Yogurt: I used a higher fat yogurt for a little bit creamier and richer sauce, but a non-fat version would work great as well.
- Lemon Juice + Lemon Zest: I use my Microplane Grater to make zesting the lemon really easy. Make sure to grate your lemon before you squeeze the juice!
- Garlic: I like using my Microplane Grater to grate the garlic into a paste. This will prevent big chunks of garlic in your sauce. You could also very finely mince the garlic if you don't have a Microplane.
- Fresh Dill - the fresh dill adds an amazing bright and herbaceous element to this sauce.
Variations
- Herb Yogurt Sauce: Substitute or add other fresh herbs like parsley, cilantro, or mint for a different flavor profile.
- Spicy Yogurt Sauce: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a dash of hot sauce to introduce some heat.
- Cucumber Dill Yogurt Sauce: Incorporate finely chopped cucumber to create a refreshing twist, similar to tzatziki.

As the title suggests, this recipe is QUICK and EASY.
Stir all of the ingredients together in a bowl until well combined. Taste and adjust the ingredients as needed to your liking. If you prefer a more lemony taste, add more zest or juice. If you like a stronger garlic flavor, add more grated garlic. You can also adjust the salt to your preference.
This Dill and Lemon Yogurt Sauce is ready to serve right away, or you can cover and chill it in the fridge for about 30 minutes to let the flavors meld together even more. It's a versatile sauce that pairs well with vegetables, protein, chips, crackers, etc.
