You only need 6 ingredients including salt & pepper to make this extremely flavorful and satisfying Brown Butter Sage Gnocchi!
I used a package of pre-made gnocchi to keep this recipe super quick and simple, but feel free to make your own gnocchi if desired.
I served this gnocchi with some green beans that I sautéed in the leftover brown butter sage sauce and my easy air fryer parmesan crusted chicken.

Brown Butter Sage Gnocchi
Ingredients
- 6 tbsp Butter
- 15 leaves Sage
- 17.5 oz Potato Gnocchi 1 package
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Parmesan Cheese freshly grated to serve
Instructions
- Cook gnocchi in a pot of boiling water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Swirl the butter often until bubbly and starting to turn golden, about 3 minutes. Add the sage leaves and continue to stir until the butter is light brown and smells nutty, about 2 more minutes.
- Add the drained gnocchi to the brown butter. Stir to combine and cook for another minute. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Serve immediately with freshly grated parmesan cheese.
