One Pot Chicken Sausage Baked Orzo

Easy one pot recipe with minimal prep and cleanup. Extra cheesy and satisfying!

Ingredients

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
  • Heat oil in a large oven-safe skillet set over medium heat. Add sliced chicken sausage and cook for 5 minutes. Flip a few times to cook both sides.
    1 tablespoon Avocado Oil, 12 oz Chicken Sausage
  • Add minced garlic and orzo and cook for 2 minutes until lightly toasted and fragrant, stirring often.
    4 cloves Garlic, 1 cup Orzo Pasta
  • Add chicken broth, tomato sauce, and all seasonings. Stir all ingredients together and let it come to a boil.
    3/4 cup Chicken Broth, 2 cups Marinara Sauce, 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder, 1/2 teaspoon Dried Oregano, 1/2 teaspoon Dried Basil, 1/2 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes, Kosher Salt & Black Pepper
  • Once boiling, add a lid and lower temperature to a simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Top with the mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Bake for about 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
    1/2 cup Low Moisture Mozzarella Cheese, 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
  • Serve immediately with fresh basil and parmesan cheese.
    1/4 cup Fresh Basil
