I brought these pepperoni vodka sauce sliders to a Super Bowl Party and they were a big hit! These sliders are perfect to bring to a party or just to serve at home. These sliders would work well as an appetizer or as a main course. I used pepperoni, but these would also be great with breaded chicken or eggplant to make a chicken parmesan/eggplant parmesan version.

Pepperoni Vodka Sauce Sliders
Ingredients
Vodka Sauce
- 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 Shallot minced
- 3 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes use less or omit for a less spicy version
- 3 tbsp Tomato Paste
- 1/8 cup Vodka
- 1/3 cup Heavy Cream
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese freshly grated; divided
Other Slider Ingredients
- 1 package King's Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sweet Rolls 12 pack
- 9 slices from log Fresh Mozzarella Log I bought the pre-sliced version and used enough to cover the sliders completely
- 1/2 tsp Dried Oregano
- 1/2 tsp Dried Basil
- 4 oz Pepperoni use more or less; enough to cover
- 3 tbsp Butter melted
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 1/8 cup Fresh Parsley chopped
Instructions
Vodka Sauce
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add shallots and garlic and cook for about 3 minutes, stirring often. Add red pepper flakes and continue to stir often for another 2 minutes.
- Mix in tomato paste and cook for 5 minutes until dark red. Pour in vodka and stir often until the liquid is mostly cooked off, about 2 minutes.
- Turn heat to low and pour in heavy cream. Stir to combine. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Add about half of the freshly grated parmesan cheese. Stir to combine until melted.
Slider Instructions
- In a baking dish, lay down the bottom half of the rolls. Spoon sauce onto the rolls and spread evenly. Top with slices of mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle on oregano and basil. Lay on slices of pepperoni. Sprinkle with a few tablespoons of parmesan cheese. Place the other half of the rolls on top.
- Melt butter and add garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and fresh parsley. Stir to combine. Brush the butter mixture on top of the buns. Sprinkle the remaining parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake for about 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees until the sliders are warm and the cheese is melted. Serve immediately.
